Description
Thoughts and the Creation Process:
I love old planes, no use in denying it. My uncle Jim (who himself was an artist) gave me a picture book of airplanes back when I was 6, and I became hooked.
Without anything to submit this week, I looked back over some old work that I haven't ever submitted before. This is a Horton Wing that I modified in my own style. The reason I didn't submit this previously is that I didn't feel it was unique or variant enough to rate as "original."
I have high standards.
As well, I tried using a projected texture to convey panel lines, instead of just creating 3D panels. The texture was too regular (besides the leading edge, it was just the same size rectangles), the rolled wing tips, the integral wingtip lights, and the pilot laying prone to reduce parasitic drag aerodynamics; just wasn't creative enough.
It's still not, but here is some of my work for your perusal.
